My style of photography

After many years in the profession, wedding photography remains my passion. It combines so many different photographic skills such as photojournalism, portraiture, fashion and still life and I have found my own style of photography which appeals to my clients – and me! A mixture of unobtrusive photojournalism and well directed posed shots.

‘On our wedding day you made us feel so at ease and we enjoyed every minute of it’

Fern and Darren.

It’s all in the planning

My approach to each wedding involves a great deal of necessary planning and the more I put into it , the better the end result. At our initial meeting, I go through every aspect of the day as each client has a specific schedule as well as a preferred style of photography, often with specific photos in mind.
For this reason, I visit venues before the wedding so I make the best use of locations and time available for photographs.

On The Wedding Day

On the day,I will photograph your wedding in a style which reflects your own individual personalities. You will also observe that I work in a very relaxed way and in so doing, create a very informal and relaxed atmosphere – as you will see from my testimonials.

Afterwards.....

The last part of the whole process is the design of your wedding album. Here I take great care to design something as creative as possible. The design is then sent to you at which point, any changes should they be required, can be made. Once you receive the album you will I’m sure be delighted plus you will now of course have something really special to help you remember your big day.

A Word of Warning

Today, almost everyone has a digital camera but it doesn’t follow that everyone can take good photographs. So often, I have had a disappointed bride and groom coming to me to see if I can salvage something from a lot of shots taken by a friend. The problem is you can only work with the material you have and if it isn’t right, there is not much you can do with it.
The sad thing about this is that you only have the one opportunity on the wedding day. There are no second chances.

'venues I have worked at/are booked to work at include Parley Manor, Highcliffe Marriott, Sandbanks Hotel, The Haven, Rhinefield House, Chewton Glen, The Tithe Barn Petersfield, Harbour Heights, The Orchid, Lord Bute, Highcliffe Castle, Lulworth Castle, Athelhampton House, Italian Villa at Compton Acres, New Place Management Centre, Langrish House, Chine Hotel, The Miramar.
